|What: UT Micro Farm groundbreaking
When: Saturday, April 13, 9a-3p. come early, come late!
Where: UT Micro Farm, 2204 Leona St. 78722
We will be breaking ground and beginning soil preparation this Saturday at the UT Micro Farm! We are very very excited and are working towards being ready to plant our first crops at the very beginning of May.
(We started seeds last Friday! Melons, cucumber, swiss chard, basil, summer squash and the like!)
On Saturday we will be sod-cutting, tilling and weeding our designated row crops area. There will be tasks for ALL skill levels, from operating machinery to utilizing a shovel to rolling sod…even painting for those of you with an artistic inclination that morning.
We would so appreciate your help! We will be working until the task is done, so come early or come late!
We’ll probably get tacos or something around lunch time, and it’s Margaret’s birthday, so there may be celebratory food involved 🙂 Bring food to share!
Bring gloves and water, wear closed toe shoes!
See you soon!
RSVP on Facebook if you so please 🙂
